Beer steins were originally made from stoneware, but they eventually grew to encompass a variety of different materials, including glass. The introduction of glass offered a hygienic material that was easy to clean and non-porous, preventing the accumulation of bacteria. Glass also presented an opportunity for personalization through etchings, stains, multicolored overlays, and enameled designs. Although glass steins are easier to manufacturer at a commercial level, many craftsmen continue to create steins using old glassblowing techniques.
My Beer Steins has a large store of glass beer steins featuring a variety of designs and engravings. Take a look through our collection, and don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help finding a particular stein.
