This new 1/2 liter stein is about 9.25" tall.
Stoneware, handpainted raised relief with gold leaf accents. The three raised panels on this stein have been meticulously sculpted and all depict castles commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The titles of all three are carefully incised into the stoneware body: Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, and Herrenchiemsee Castles are on the sides. The background of the stein is a deep midnight blue with white glistening snow highlights. An antiqued pewter lid completes the piece.
The detailed relief is handpainted and features the King Ludwig castles in winter. Thewalt uses glitter to enhance the snow on the stein.
Thewalt has been producing exceptional steins since 1893 and is one of only a few remaining German stein companies that still produce 100% of their steins in Germany with 100% German materials and labor
